Bridge, wherever you play

Every app on this site solves a real problem for a real bridge player — whether that’s a missing bidding box on a cruise ship, a scoring headache round the kitchen table, a club still counting travellers by hand, or wanting to challenge a friend to a game no matter where they are.

🚢

At Sea

Most cruise ships don’t carry physical bidding boxes, so players end up calling bids out loud. DigiBid replaces the box with a silent app that works offline — free, on any phone or tablet.

🏠

At Home

Kitchen bridge, Chicago, Rubber, or a proper Duplicate session with friends — Bridge Modes Calculator and Bonus Bridge Pro handle the scoring so you can focus on the cards.

♣️

In the Club

Not every club can justify Bridgepads. Bridge Scorer V3 brings full duplicate scoring to clubs still running paper travellers — one laptop hosts, players score at the table on their own phone.

🃏

With a Friend, Anywhere

Fancy a duel? Declarer & Defence Challenge lets you invite a friend or a whole group to the same set of hands, wherever they are, and see who comes out on top on the leaderboard.

No one to play with? Practise the challenges on your own, on your phone.

Choosing a cruise that actually works for bridge

A cruise can be a wonderful way to play bridge with friends old and new — but not every sailing is set up for it. Two things make the real difference between a cruise that works for bridge and one that doesn’t.

What to look for

  • Sea days. Bridge needs unbroken stretches at sea, not days lost to port excursions. Look for itineraries with 5 or more sea days — the more, the better the bridge programme tends to be.
  • Bridge facilities on board. Many mainstream cruise lines don’t provide bridge tables, cards, or a dedicated space at all. It’s worth checking before you book, not after.

Two UK-favourite lines consistently get this right: Ambassador Cruise Line, with dedicated bridge facilities and a relaxed, adults-focused atmosphere, and Fred Olsen, the UK’s leading hosted bridge cruise operator, with dedicated bridge directors and daily sessions on selected sailings. Both sail no-fly from UK ports.
