Find your perfect bridge voyage
The best bridge cruises have one thing in common – sea days. Lots of them. A transatlantic crossing, a long Pacific voyage, or a Baltic tour gives you time to settle into a proper bridge routine, meet fellow players, and really enjoy the game away from the distractions of port days.
We recommend looking for cruises with 6 or more consecutive sea days for the best bridge experience.
What to Look For
Organised bridge programmes – Many cruise lines employ dedicated bridge hosts or directors who run daily sessions and tournaments. P&O, Cunard, Fred Olsen and Saga all have strong bridge reputations.
Table space – Check the ship has a card room or dedicated games area. Larger ships sometimes have better facilities but smaller ships often have more committed bridge players.
Fellow players – Bridge is a social game. Longer voyages attract more serious players who are there for the bridge as much as the destination.
Recommended Voyage Types
Transatlantic Crossings – The classic bridge voyage. 6-8 sea days each way, a dedicated community of players, and enough time for a proper tournament. QM2 is the gold standard but many lines offer Atlantic crossings.
Baltic & Scandinavia – Beautiful scenery with frequent port calls, but look for itineraries with longer sea legs for maximum bridge time.
Mediterranean Repositioning – Spring and autumn repositioning cruises often have excellent sea day to port day ratios and attract experienced travellers.
World Cruises & Segments – The ultimate bridge experience. Weeks at sea, a tight-knit community, and enough time to try every scoring format in the app.
